“Hey Mummy! Project”
They speak of memory, transmission, cultural heritage, rites of passage, reproduction, bodies, cords, blood, wombs, breasts, gestation, breast pumps, hearts, death, and life. Between Grandmother and Grandmother, Mother watches over: a Materia Prima from an alchemical point of view representing the original raw material.
The initial impetus stemmed from the shared desire of two art curators, Caroline Bravo and Sandrine Follère, to co-create a resilient space during the first lockdown, which plunged us, on a societal scale, into a strange period of withdrawal. This suspended time was conducive to a reflection on sisterhood, on our feminine heritage, on the bond that connects us and binds us to one another.
This multifaceted event is an invitation to stroll through the heart of women's lineages, punctuated by memorial objects in the form of pictorial, sculptural and sound punctuations, linking the past and the present.
